Clarke Perkins

Clarke Perkins is an Associate at Gordon Arata, where she represents clients in a broad range of commercial litigation and business matters. She regularly handles all phases of litigation, including legal research, motion practice, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation in both state and federal courts.

Clarke joined the firm in September 2023 after earning her Juris Doctor from Tulane University Law School. While in law school, she served as the first Black woman Chief Justice of Tulane Law’s Moot Court Program, Vice President of the Black Law Students Association, a student attorney in the Environmental Law Clinic, and a peer mentor. She was also a recipient of the Tulane 34 Award, which recognizes 34 students across the university for exemplary leadership, service, and academic excellence. Prior to joining Gordon Arata, Clarke interned with the firm and with Therium Capital Management in New York City.

Before law school, Clarke served as a high school Special Education Instructor through Teach for America in Cleveland, Ohio. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with a minor in Communication Studies, from Louisiana State University, where she received the Huel D. Perkins Leadership Award.

Clarke has been recognized for her leadership within the legal profession and the community, including being named a 2026 recipient of the Louisiana State Bar Association’s Top Young Lawyers Award.

She remains actively involved in professional and civic organizations throughout the New Orleans community.
