Trials can sometimes go awry, despite favorable evidence and best efforts to the contrary. And even when you win, the other side might try to upend that victory on appeal. With many former law clerks for state and federal court judges, former and current law professors and a contributing author of the Louisiana Appellate Practice Handbook, Gordon Arata’s attorneys are ideally qualified to successfully handle their clients’ appeals in federal and state court systems. While we often represent clients in the appeals of matters we have handled at the trial level, we frequently handle appeals for clients represented by other firms in trial courts and often file amicus briefs for industry groups and others interested in a particular appeal.
